Privacy Policy
What we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Oak Park Neighbors United ("we," "us," or "our") is a local ballot-question committee working to defeat the Oak Park ballot referendum on the November 3, 2026 ballot. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our text messaging program, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us, including when you sign up for updates or to volunteer, provide a mobile phone number to receive text messages from us, or contact us directly. This may include your name, email address, mailing address, and mobile phone number.
How we use your information
We use this information to send you campaign updates, volunteer opportunities, and voting reminders; to coordinate volunteer activities; and to respond to your questions.
Text messaging and mobile information
We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with any other campaign, organization, affiliate, or third party for marketing purposes, under any circumstances — including where we may share other supporter information with like-minded organizations.
Message frequency varies — expect an average of around three messages per week, more frequently as Election Day approaches. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. See our SMS Terms & Conditions for details.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with vendors who help us operate this campaign (such as our texting or volunteer-management platform), solely to provide those services to us.
