Eleven Trustees are asking Oak Parkers to VOTE NO

Current and former Oak Park village leaders are urging a no vote on this November's ballot referendum.

In their words

"You can disagree with and protest against US foreign policy without alienating our Jewish neighbors. Vote No."
"Many of my Jewish friends, neighbors, and constituents have told me of growing antisemitism in the village because of this referendum question. That is not who we are supposed to be. Everyone in Oak Park should be able to express their opinions and advocacy without being harassed, threatened, or intimidated."
"If this passes, it will be the first time Oak Park has singled out a group of people to let them know their safety, their concerns and their feelings of being hated, blamed and discriminated against do not matter. Vote NO."
"Whatever our views on international conflicts, our neighbors should not have to pay the price for the actions of foreign governments. Oak Park's commitment to inclusion matters most when we disagree."
